The paper studies and systematizes a significant part of contemporary theories, models, and practices of social pedagogy and social education work with families, with the purpose of their proper application in Bulgarian context. The research is based predominantly on English scientific sources representing social work conceptions and some specifications as well as on theories originated in the countries of the so called "Eastern Block" and Germany, where social activities have mainly pedagogical character. Analyzed were also ways of correspondence between social education models and social pedagogy models of work with family. An adapted system of approaches to social pedagogical work with families in Bulgaria is suggested reflecting the strategic paradigm of social pedagogy activities with their main function as a mediator in the relation "family-social institutions", and as a facilitator within the process of stimulation family potential toward resolving problems. |
