Dissertation consists of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. First chapter presents demographic settlements and economic terms as well as characteristics of respondents. The second chapter gives a full description of all registered demonic images and phenomenon’s including detailed description of the demons. The third chapter has been considering space as a territory inhabited by various demonic creatures, selected by one of the settlements called indicator. A comparison is made between space city – village. This chapter attempt to visualize a pyramid structure of the development of the demonic creatures from the late 19th century until today. The research ascertain that demons exist in modern times. Most persistent beliefs are related to domestic space. Role in the preservation of this notion holds continuity between generations. Family and village festivals provide a favorable environment for preservation of folk beliefs. The rise of the new images and phenomenon’s that borrow features from traditional demonic layers has become modern tendency. |
