The dissertation examines the impact of the various components of nonverbal behavior (kinesics, proxemics, vocalisation, physical environments/appearance, etc.) on the development and implementation of two major forms of business communication - negotiations and presentations. The topic is related to the growing need of the corporate sector's representatives in Bulgaria for adequate and working communication solutions based on verbal and nonverbal synergy. The dissertation is divided into three chapters. The first chapter, which is theoretical, addresses the concepts of "communication", "business sector" and "business communication". Here are also presented the main formats - negotiations and presentations, followed by their development in the context of the business environment in Bulgaria and its development in the years after the transition in 1989. The second chapter of the dissertation is devoted to nonverbal communication and more specifically to its nature and cues. The topic is presented through in the contex of negotiations and presentations. This chapter discusses the "independence" of nonverbal communication in the general process of communication, stereotypes of the nonverbal cues in the modern corporate world, and their economical „value“. The third chapter of the dissertation is devoted to a research, conducted under methodology that combines quantitative and qualitative methods. Its aim is to give a snapshot of the corporate culture in Bulgaria in its nonverbal aspect and to make recommendations for its optimization
