This volume of SBS contains only a small part of the papers presented at the sigillographic colloquium, organized during the 19th Congress of Byzantine Studies in Copenhagen. The list of seals published between 1931 and 1986 turned out to be rather lengthy. The material was divided into two parts. SBS 5 was made ready for the sigillographic symposium of Shumen/Preslav (16-18 September 1998). SBS 6 contains the rest of the contributions presented at Copenhagen, the list of seals published between 1991 and 1996, and auctions 1991-1996. |
