A “cherga” is a hand-loomed woolen-rug made of many colors and textures found in a traditional Bulgarian home. The people of Bulgaria are like a “cherga” - woven from varicolored threads that have merged over time. Multi-faceted and complex people, landscape, religions, and customs all come together in a way that is uniquely Bulgarian.
