The following dissertation work is a short conclusion of the scientific research about the role that the Albanian factor has in the context of the security in the Balkans. The practical value of the research is that it is presented in a way to provide a whole overview of the matter taken into consideration the historical background. What is more the possibility for future development and improvement of the matter is given as a base for future researches in this field. The role of the Republic of Albania is analysed from two points of view- as a state playing role in the new system for regional security throughout its multiple relations and initiatives regarding the matter of the security. The other point of view is the Albanian home affairs and stability that influences the different processes in the Balkans. Except for analysing the role of the Republic of Albania in the regional security, this dissertation work aims to analyse the genesis of the conflicts in relation with the communities in the Balkans. All of these conflicts ( Kosovo, Macedonia, South Serbia) as well as the threat of generating an ethnical pressure and conflicts among the Albanian minorities (Montenegro, Greece) have their historical background and series of reasons that have caused them.
