Резюме: The dissertation examines the interaction between the various aspects of the organization and the effectiveness of the team in an attempt to better understand how to create an organizational context in which teams can be more successful. The aim is to reveal the peculiarities if the interaction between the organizational culture and the team effectiveness in the IT sector in Bulgaria as well as to determine which characteristics of the organizational culture and strategy affect its effectiveness. Among the main goals and objectives of the dissertation are the identification of the leading types of organizational culture, strategic orientations and factors for team effectiveness technological companies. The Competing Values Framework created by Cameron and Quinn is applied. The methodology of H= Hakala for strategic orientations is applied for the first time in Bulgaria. A scale is developed to measure team performance, according to the specificities of the IT sector, and a Team Effectiveness Questionnaire is created. A model of interrelation emerges and identifies the characteristics of the culture and strategic orientations that influence the effectiveness of the teams. The study focuses on a specific sample – those working in the IT sector, and more specifically in software companies developing software products and services. In this regard, the dissertation aims to exploring organizational characteristics in the technological sector that can benefit from the achievements in work and organizational psychology. Practical focus is one of the goals of the study – tracking how culture, strategy, and teams interact within software companies, and giving recommendations for increasing the effectiveness of both teams and IT organizations.
