In the dissertation the main characteristics of the Getic necropoleis are analysed and the results are united with the data from the ancient written sources into a general picture of the cultural development of Northeast Thrace during VI-th - mid III-rd Century B.C. The historical frame in which the analysed necropoleis develop is drawn. An attempt to specify the date of some funeral complexes is made, as far as the grave goods allow this. The chronological and geographical spread of the necropoleis, the funeral rites, the grave constructions and additional structures is traced. The data about the social and the economical development of the Getae from the studied territory is analysed. |
