Резюме: Dissertation consists of text, including Introduction, two chapters, Conclusion, list of references and a Catalogue with 90 maps and satellite images. The main objective of the thesis is to establish the potential of the Archaeological Predictive Modeling in the study and preservation of the undiscovered archaeological heritage underwater. In the Introduction are presented the topic, the objectives, the tasks, and the methodologies of the study. The first chapter is dedicated to the theories and methods, the origin and the development, the scientific approaches, the application, the advantages and disadvantages of the Predictive Modeling, with focus on its application underwater. The second chapter presents the development of a predictive model for coastal Late Copper Age and Early Bronze Age settlements for the Southern Black Sea Coast. The chapter is divided into three parts: the first examines the prehistoric settlements along the Western Black Sea Coast, the second is devoted to the geomorphology of the study region and the third presents the construction of several predictive models. The Conclusion summarizes the results obtained and presents the achieved scientific contributions.
