The dissertation examines the primary and secondary sources of information that builds a world abstracting and indexing system, and the opportunities offered for the evaluation of scientific output. The effectiveness of conventional and alternative metrics for the influence of a scientific publication or researcher has been compared. The characteristics of predatory scientific publishing are classified and opportunities to solve key problems in modern scientific communication are offered. A survey of the level of awareness of groups from the academic community from Sofia University (students from the three educational qualification degrees and lecturers) on the risks in scientific publishing, research misconducts, conventional and alternative scientometric indicators for assessing the impact and influence of scientific production has been conducted. The design of the course "Publishing of new scientific results. Elements of publication ethics" for PhD students, postdoctoral students and young scientists has been developed and approbated. |
