The main goal of the dissertation is to make a full characteristic of the complete vessels from the Chalcolithic layers of the Ruse tell settlement in order to make them a reliable source for the relative chronology and socio-economic structure of the societies of that time. Different types of analyzes have been made. For the first time, all complete and restored Chalcolithic vessels found during the various archeological campaigns (1904-1990) of the site have been processed, classified and cataloged. Their relative dating has been established. The specific use of some vessel types and lids is assumed. A new approach has been successfully applied to identify closed complexes from a fully studied archaeological site that have not been documented in the field. Thanks to it, the places and the content of 37 closed complexes from the site were reconstructed. This allowed to make a relative chronologywhich includes the burnt buildings from the end of the Middle Chalcolithic to the end of the Late Chalcolithic. The comparative analysis by complexes led to the establishment of combinations of vessels used during different phases of habitation. For the first time, a change in the proportions of vessel types used during successive stages of KGK VI culture was observed. The comparative analysis of the ceramic inventory of the buildings from Ruse showed the differences in the used types of vessels from one and several consecutive phases.
