In the dissertation "Linguistic and culturological markers of national identity in the language of young Bessarabian Bulgarians" language is seen as a container of values and faith, which carries the delayed archetypes of the collective subconscious, which binds one ethnic group or nation through a common historical past, mythology, fiction and rituals. The connection between ethnic and national identity, on the one hand, and language, on the other, is two-way, because, accumulating in itself the conceptosphere of a nation, language forms an identity in those who speak it. The current study focuses on the language of young Bulgarians born in Moldova and Ukraine, in the specific age range of 15 to 25 years. The target group was chosen with the idea that this is a transitional moment in human life, when the young people‘s personality and identity are formed, and it is possible to trace the process of formation of national identity. The paper consists of an introduction, 4 chapters, a conclusion, a description of the contributions, a list of cited literature and 3 appendices. It is clear that the Bulgarian national identity is not only not in conflict with the idea of a homeland other than Bulgaria, but also carries an archaic, product of education in the community, reverence for the homeland.
