The dissertation thesis analyzes the development and competitiveness of the agricultural in CAP subsidies conditions. The comparative analysis covers a period of several years before and after the country membership in the EU. Its elaborated a system from indicators to assess the competitiveness of Bulgarian farms before and after inclusion in the Common Agricultural Market of EU. Also are includes a couple of additional indices which are in greater stage shown a competitive potential as a micro and macro level in agriculture. The methodology based on the integration of financial and economic indicators allows to outlines trends of the farm . At the same time is analyses the effects of agricultural policy over the restructuring of the sector , the contribution of agriculture to the creation GDP and employment, labor productivity and rates of return as well as a comparison with the average EU values and three other countries member - Greece, Hungary and France. The problems that accompany the period of integration of Bulgarian agriculture in the Common European Market are defined. Based on the results achieved in the agricultural sector in the context of the CAP are drawn conclusions. Its analysis the proposed CAP reform for the next programme period (2014-2020) , and it is proposed an alternative plan for the distribution of direct payments by CAP. Its defines recommendations which attempt to specify some of the current or to implement new measures which will be help to build a more sustainable and competitive agricultural sector.
