Резюме: In this dissertation I explore the nature of the task-based approach and task-based methods and determine how their usage influences the process of learning of linguistic (lexical) knowledge and consolidating that knowledge and communication skills and also how it influences the personal development of the students. Based upon the analysis of existing classifications of task-based approaches I have presented a new classification in accordance with the specifics of teaching the German language. As a result of the accumulated theoretical knowledge, I have developed a module for using the task-based approach and certain task-based methods for teaching the German language. I have empirically proven the effectiveness of the developed modules in the process of learning of lexical knowledge and consolidating that knowledge, as well as in the personal character building of the student and in stumilating their emotional and social development.
