The object of study in this dissertation is the documentary heritage and history of the central health administration and health professional organizations in Bulgaria for the period 1879-1944. Dissertation consists of content, introduction, three chapters, conclusion, declaration of originality, bibliography and list of abbreviations. Dissertations volume is 271 pages. The author explores the formation and development of the Bulgarian health administration in the period 1879-1944. The history of the institution is connected with its documentary heritage. It was used the unconventional approach - beside documents of central health authorities, are investigated documents of health professional organizations. In the text there are analyzes of the official publications in the health magazines. The author gives a model for detailed analysis of the documents of the central health administration and health professional organizations. In the dissertation is studied the current state of the archives, there are given the recommendations how to use archival fonds in future researches. There are made specific data structures about topics with a health focus for future historical and social studies.
