In the dissertation are examined the images and uses of time in Bulgarian literature from the 20s and 30s of the twentieth century. It consists of an introduction, five chapters, conclusion, bibliography and applications, including a Dictionary of images of time in Bulgarian poetry and prose from the 20s and 30s of the twentieth century. In the first chapter is made an attempt for a typology of the images of time. In the second chapter is examined the problem of power and time in Geo Milev's poetic works; in the third - the problem of death and time in the works of Nicolas Furnadzhiev, Asen Raztsvetnikov, Atanas Dalchev, Dimitar Panteleev and others; an object of the fourth chapter is the event and daily life in the short stories from the 30s (in works of Konstantin Konstantinov, Chavdar Mutafov, Dimitar Shishmanov, Emilian Stanev, Pavel Vezhinov and others). The fifth chapter deals with the problem of the machine and time in the poetry and prose from the 30s - in works of Chavdar Mutafov, Svetoslav Minkov, Zdravko Srebrov, Elisaveta Bagryana, Nikola Vaptsarov, Valeri Petrov and many others.
