In the modern world constantly perform transport of exotic species. In this aspect aquarium widely spread issue as it relates to the transmission of different types of fish, molluscs and aquatic plants. Topics of exotic and introduced species are closely related, as often exotic species introduced themselves. It s part of the problem of so-called. invasive species. Often, for various reasons (release or deliberate discharges), many species are new to these habitats. In parallel, they transmit exotic parasites, particularly helminths. Systematic study of helmints of aquarium fishes in Bulgaria were not conducted. Topic has theoretical and applied scientific significance. In theory it relates to issues of ecological helminthology. Of particular interest are the specific helminths of exotic aquarium fishes and their behavior outside their habitat, exchange helmintofauna with that of the local ichthyofauna (fish subject to the aquarium at home, industrial and free-living fish in the waters of the country). The meaning of the topic in science applications consist of: 1. Clarification, registration and assessment the helmintofauna by hosts 2. Estimation epizootiological significance of identified helminths total and individual by hosts, under the aquarium fish trade in Bulgaria. Knowledge of the species composition of helminths will show how with the introduction of new species are introduced and new types of helminths, which violates the law of biodiversity. Knowledge of the new species will be a huge advantage in their problematic behavior in the near future. By developing the dissertation will be put scientific basis for combating helminth infection in aquarium fish in Bulgaria.
