The microflora of digestive tract of snails C. aspersum in different stages of its life cycle was studied. By the method ARDRA and cultivation methods the dynamics in the composition of the bacterial community was traced. It was found that changes occur in both quantitative and qualitative composition. For examination of bacterial diversity 185 pure bacterial cultures, 63 of which Gram-negative and 122 Gram-positive were isolated. By phenotypic and genotypic methods, including PCR amplification of the 16S-23S ITS rDNA, restriction analysis of the ITS-23S rDNA and 16S rDNA, species-specific multiplex PCR, and sequence analysis the isolated bacteria were identified. For the first time from this snail species 10 Gram-positive (L. brevis, L. graminis, L. curvatus, L. plantarum, L. lactis subsp. lactis, L. mesenteroides subsp. mesenteroides, L. gelidum, V. penali, W. confusa and R. erythropolis) and 9 Gram-negative bacteria (B. agrestis, A. oleivorans, K. cryocrescens, K. ascorbata, R. planticola,, P. carotovorum, P. chrysanthemii, E. kobei и L. amnigena) were identified. By metagenomic analysis it was found that representatives of class γ-Proteobacteria - family Enterobacteriaceae (genera Buttiauxella, Citrobacter, Kluyvera, Raoultella Enterobacter, Lelliotia, Klebsiella, Pectobacterium and Erwinia) and familly Aeromonadaceae (genus Aeromonas) are dominant in clone libraries in all life cycle stages. Representatives of the class Actinobacteria and class Bacteroidetes are characteristic only for juvenile formes, and representatives of class Fusobacteria - for actively feeding snails. The results obtained complete the information on the composition of microbial community in the digestive tract of C. aspersum.
