The dissertation presents an empirical psycho-social work with women victims of domestic violence, as supportive therapeutic group interventions on female victims of violence, based on the psychodrama method as a part of the experimental study. The dissertation is dedicated to a growing social phenomenon - domestic violence as a negative social phenomenon presenting itself in all segments of modern society and affecting the most vulnerable - women and children. The object of the research is women victims of physical and mental domestic violence. The subject of the research is the procedural dynamics of the emotional status and socio-psychological characteristics of women victims of domestic violence, resulting in the formative impact of the counseling group. The aim of the research is to experiment with the possibilities for social counseling in a group of women victims of domestic violence as a condition and a way to overcome the traumatic effects and transformation of personality characteristics associated with the trauma. The tasks of the dissertation work is related to the theoretical study of: - Socio-psychological parameters and prerequisites for domestic violence against women; - Emotional and psychosocial characteristics of women victims of domestic violence experienced after psycho traumatic experiences. - Conducting psychosocial work in a group of women victims of violence through specialized approaches and consulting techniques - Iplementation of standardized and validated for Bulgaria diagnostic methods for the research of the experimental sample with a view to ascertaining the level of depression, spontaneity and subjective well-being, as well as to assess the effectiveness of psychosocial work conducted.
