Values and value orientations have always been a subject of study by global human knowledge as they reveal the reference points in formation and improvement of personality. They outline acceptable models of behaviour in the society. Nowadays the problem of the formation of value orientations attain significance because of established lasting moral deficiency and poor spirits. This research reveals the relation between the concepts value - value orientation - value choice - moral behavior. The theoretical framework of the research describes the process of formation of value orientations in the context of religious education of students in primary school. The research represents a technological model of work for formation of values that premise realization of value choice and moral behavior of the students. The study suggests ideas for improvement of educational content and practical work with students in order to stabilize their internal motivation to value-oriented and socially significant activities. Religious education assists moral growth, supports the formation of value orientations and moral behavior and allows students to get answers to questions about the meaning of life and build individual interpretation of Christian moral values. |
