Резюме: This dissertation presents a theoretical e-learning model for teaching English to economists and its practical application. The model is based on the the flipped classroom method, activities created with Hot Potatoes software, which have been integrated in a Moodle course management system. The model is tested by conducting a pedagogical experiment with students at the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics - Svishtov. The experiment is successful and proves that the implementation of the proposed model has resulted in higher quality of English language teaching. The following scientific contributions have been brought about: 1. The current state of e-learning in contemporary Bulgarian and English scientific literature has been reviewed, as it has been discovered that teaching with the application of ICT is effective; 2. A pedagogical e-learing model for teaning English to economists has been created and implement in existing education at the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics; 3. The hypothesis based on the research on opinions expressed by experts from Bulgaria and abroad and and the conducted pedagogical experiment is proved.
