This study introduces and presents a relatively new scientific field, which is not actively discussed in Bulgaria - ecolinguistics. This is an interdisciplinary science, which establishes connections between linguistics (especially sociolinguistics) law, ecology, history, philosophy, anthropology, sociology and political science. The fundamental issue about the Human and its environment (Umwelt) is in the core in ecolinguistic studies, where the context of the language is understood as ecosystem. In this particular study the problem of the linguistic human rights is considered as a part of natural human rights, as a consequence of the relations between language and power. Other issues in the focus of the monograph are: linguistic identity, language discrimination, freedom of speech, dialect and language leveling, language death. One of the conflicts of our contemporary life is the disproportion between the development of techno systems and bio systems which affects our human environment and this problem, problem of surviving of the planet contains some important semiotic (and linguistic) contradiction. The ability of the human society for self-governance is challenged which is in fact a challenge for human linguistic and cultural diversity, and human moral. In general, globalization has some positive effects, however in its cultural aspect as "macdonaldisation", pop culture and linguistic unification it provokes lack of diversity many languages are endangered, analogically of the endangered biological spices. The possibilities of the human rational and legal instruments to control and rule these bio semiotic end ethic problems and how to transform this random development to regular one are the main object of the study.
