The objective of the dissertation is to study and alayse the factors and reasons that have brought about the beginning of the strategic cooperation dialogue between India and USA. It is done in such a manner that practical essence of this partnership and its most significant aspects during the first decade of the 21st century have been emphasised upon. The concrete tasks of the research are as follows: 1) working out and depicting the theoretical foundation and model of strategic cooperation in the new historical conditions of the beginning of the 21st century; 2) analysis of the motifs of the statesmen from the two countries that have determined direction of the policy of strategic cooperation in the field of International relations, economy and all aspects of regional and world security; 3) Systematisation of all the facts and phases of prepaption for the model of strategic cooperation between India and USA in the framework of their bilateral dialogue; 4) Analysis of the main streams of Indo-American strategic cooperation in the beginning of the 21st century. The scientific analyss is based on unused so far Indian and American documents, books and scientific journas, mass media information sources, periodical press in English published in India, USA andother countires, the periodicals in Bulgarian. In total more than 130 authored sources. One very important source of information for the dissertation is the Mr. Bubniak's personal observations and experiences during his stay in India (1987-1993) and the numerous interviews he took from prominent Indian politicians and diplomats. Mr.Bubniak could also draw experience from his work at the Embassy of India as PS to the Ambassador (1994-2002), Adviser to the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria (2002), Adviser in the Political Cabinet fo the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministy of Foreign Affairs (2002-2008). He also served abroud as the Deputy Head of Mission and Consul at the Bulgarian Embassy in Dublin, Ireland (2008-2009). Since 2009 till date Mr. Bubniak has been Director for International Affairs at Litex Corporate Group in Bulgaria. After the end of the Cold War the United States of America remained the only super power in the world. On the other hand, India would be the most poplous country in the world by 2030 and according to UN analysts it would be the fourth largest economy by 2020. The dialogue between the two countries have been determined by their respective status in the world order, e.g. USA as the world leader and India with its higher status due to its enhanced economic and political development in the 1990ies of the 20th century. While the United States lobby for the so called unipolar world, India is a supporter of the multi polar world and has a pretence to be a global power. New Delhi has a unique contribution to the regional balance of powers in Asia, i.e. India's relations with China and Pakistan, as well as other world powers and countries strengthen peace, stability and development of the whole Asia Pacific Region and the world. It also gives positive contribution to free sea communication and safety, cyber security, thus boosting economic, trade and cultural cooperation. |
