The current dissertation reviews the contemporary manifestations of identity of the Bulgarians living in two border towns - Bosilegrad and Dimitrovgrad, currently situated in the Republic of Serbia. The title of the dissertation describes the main theme of the dissertation with a broad term - identity. Based on the characteristics of the object of the study, research attention is concentrated on two main aspects - the national and border identity. Results are structured in three main subjects: the political circumstances and the minority policy of Serbia during the studied chronological period; field research identity manifestations; inter- and intragroup relations, defined by the border position of the object of the study. |
