The work includes theoretical overview of rhetorical canons, genres, techniques and in the context of virtual, visual rhetoric, multimodality social media and non verbal communication in presentations in TED.com. First chapter is focused on rhetoric s historical overview including both traditional terms of the ancient art of rhetoric and their contemporary manifestations. In the second chapter research questions investigate how rhetorical traditions manifest in TED.com. Furthermore the author points to arguments in defence of a new paradigm shift and reconceptualization of rhetoric traditions. More specifically definitions, terms and rhetorical canons are interpreted in new context with regard to characteristics of TED presentations which in the main focus of the chapter. Third chapter investigates the new manifestations of rhetoric and communication in the context of presentations in TED.com. In the fourth chapter the focus is on methodical research in virtual, visual rhetoric in TED.com presentations. The study examines individual specifics and nonverbal communication of presenters on visual level and multimodality.
