This study aims to reveal opportunities for a rather consistent, systematic and thorough reading of the problem of the concept of love in the adopted by Hegels philosophy dialectical theoretical perspective and research methodology. In respect of the philosophical system we find that though reflected in its importance, the issue of love is set implicitly rather than explicitly. On the other hand, in this study the Hegelian philosophy precisely is recognized as to the highest degree able to offer the necessary methodological basis for raising the issue of love to the elucidating of its absolute philosophical significance. This particular significance of the concept of love is argued through its decisive dialectical co-definition with the concept of awareness or sense. Within the aspect of research reflection the consciousness is positioned in the perspective of its already extant in the writings of Hegel dialectical consideration, namely in the unity of its movement from basic sensory awareness, through self-awareness, to sense. This way, the problem of love, within a necessary dialectical bound with awareness, has been pushed consistently forward through/by pertaining of love to the defined degrees of dialectical development of the consciousness. The three forms of development of the concept of love, set in line with those of consciousness, are immediate sexual desire and sensual affect, corresponding with the level of individual sensory awareness, infatuation, revealed through the essential differentiation of consciousness and true love, defined within the common of the sense. This parallel is not set as solely curious and instructive, but is thought as absolutely ontological significant. By the means of a substantiated connection between the concept of consciousness (awareness, sense) and the necessary regard to consciousness - consciousness relation, it gets clear that not only ethically but also metaphysically (ontologically) standartized in this relation-definition, love stands as an absolute condition for thinking of consciousness in general and vice versa, only in understanding the concept of awareness (awareness, sense), love can have its adequate philosophical reflection. |
