Throughout history, business and its leaders are facing continual challenges. To deal with them, companies rely primary on innovation in the technology sector and effective communication. In this regard, communication skills, and in particular negotiating and persuasion skills, are so important to the long-term survival of a business as generating economic capital. The aim of this thesis is to outline the leading trends in the negotiation process, to identify the impact techniques as well as the specific manifestations of the different types of nonverbal communication during the negotiations. All the main components of the process of negotiation and its characteristics are examined within the scope of the study. The theoretical framework of nonverbal communication outlines the key features of its components, which are shaped as the starting point for analyzing impact techniques in the negotiation process. In addition, significant scientific concepts have been deployed, and the leading trends have been presented and compared. The deficits in knowledge and skills as a result of the research in chapter four, allow the reference to the previously formulated recommendations in chapter three, towards the specific actions and techniques for influence before and during negotiation proces. And thus the practical use of these techniques would allow the effective use of nonverbal communication as a prerequisite for successful negotiation.
