The object of this research Is the nonverbal part of communication between people and also its argumentative effect. As a material for analyses, serve video records of several important persons from political life of the world over the last few decades (Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, Fidel Castro, Adolf Hitler). The results of the analysis, combined with the findings of other nonverbal communication studies, serve as a basis for achieving the goal set at the beginning of this study - confirming or rejecting the thesis that nonverbal behaviour can perform an argumentative function and It could have a convincing impact. Three main tasks have been accomplished: an overview of theoretical and empirical research in nonverbal communication is presented; specific and basic concepts that play a key role in constructing the conceptual-categorical apparatus, needed to study the field of rhetorical communication, are clarified; the data, collected through analysis of communicative situations from public life, together with examples from other empirical studies, has the aim to confirm or reject the thesis proposed in this study.
