Резюме: At the basis of the dissertation is the term ‘visual literacy’ considered in the context of fine arts education. An important aspect of the work is determining the frequency and use of this term in different research aspects. Using theoretical sources and preliminary research the dissertation proposes methodology based on theoretical and practical exercises for the first and second year of university education. The goal of this methodology is to increase the student’s visual literacy so they can recognize, adapt and advance the specifics of a fine art education. The main idea is that the exercises need to combine theory and practice and develop basic competency skills for understanding and analyzing works of art. The students will also be able to express, present and create their own art works.
