The thesis is based on the hypothesis that the prolonged and profound social crisis creates conditions for a political leader of the Savior type to win the elections. The phenomenon can be based on two-way manipulation process between the leader and society. The crisis is a recurring phenomenon, and so it periodically creates the possibility for the next Savior to come to rule. Chapter I dubbed Manipulation in Communication - An Impact Tool of the Political Leader, and addresses the origin and specifics of communication and manipulation, relationships between them, and in particular between manipulation and non-verbal and verbal communication. Manipulative strategies most commonly used by leaders, as well as charismatic leadership characteristics, are analyzed. Chapter II named "The Crisis in Society - Moral Aspects" analyzes the specifics of the anomie, its repeatability as well as the main cause of its appearance during this period - The 2008 World Economic Crisis. The different aspects of the contemporary moral crisis are examined. Chapter III, "The Power of Manipulation and Manipulation of Power," specifies the bidirectionality of manipulation, the necessary characteristics of the leader in order to be recognized as the new Savior, and the onset of the phase of his image death. Chapter IV contains three content analysis of Washington Post and Dnevnik publications, and comparative analysis for the period July-September 2009, which fully prove the base hypotheses.
