The dissertation thesis examines a poorly explored question in speech therapy of the relationship between child stuttering and the functioning of the oral spoken language. The aim of the study is based on literary data on discrete difficulties at complex levels of language (morphologically and syntactically) and pursues an experimental check of their condition in children with impaired speech fluency. The study included 70 children aged 4-6 years and 6-7 years old, divided into the following subgroups: 30 children aged 4-6 (15 with stuttering and 15 without stuttering) and 40 children aged 6-7 years (20 with stuttering and 20 without stuttering). All of them are native to Greek and have no bilingualism. The structure of the groups allows verification of the influence of the independent factors "age" and "stuttering" on the levels of the oral language. The diagnostic toolbox includes 9 samples, of which 4 for lexical assessment, 3 for morphological assessment and 2 for syntactic language assessment. The statistical test of the results is based on a two-factor dispersion analysis (Fischer's F-criterion), which allowed the following conclusions: 1. Stuttering children are characterized by uneven levels of language development; 2. By lexical level related to coding a particular vocabulary, children with stuttering do not differ significantly from those with normal speech fluency. Significant differences between groups are only observed for verbatim vocabulary generation tasks. 3. There is a significant influence of the independent factors "age" and "stuttering" on the higher linguistic levels - morphologically and syntactically. The diagnostic battery and the results obtained are of paramount importance for logopedic theory and practice.
