Dissertation is focused on the teaching of the austrian psychiatrist Viktor Emil Frankl with a special interest in his idea of man, or the preliminary anthropological model, which guides the therapeutic course of Dr. Frankl. Dissertation s main purpose is to determine, after working on the synthesis and the questioning of logotherapeutic anthropology, if Frankl s idea of personal self-realization which is attributed to men, is accessible for the mass-audience or is elitist. The answer to this question follows the hypothesis that Frankl s implicit ethics is deeply egalitarian. As a result of its main hypothesis this work demonstrates that the meaning of life problem, as taken in its pluralistic and relativistic mode, needs a model of personal development and self-realizations which could melt the obvious differences and inequalities between existential achievements. What Frankls uses as an instrument of making the thesis of unconditional meaning of life credible is the idea of personal uniqueness. If the man is more person than a social performer, if his best personal achievements are taken regardless of the universal standart of personal self-realization, then meanness, failure, illness or simply mediocrity, could not be treated as an existential disaster that tooks all accumulated meanings away from a human life. Logotherapeutic view of man stresses on the impossibility of making comprasions between existential projects and tells that we all live meaningful lives.
