The problem, from both research and practice point of view, about communication and ongoing communicative processes is amongst the current in its aim and attempts to optimize the performance of modern libraries, as interaction / communication between different structural (and management) levels plays a key role in their successes and failures. Indisputably an important tool for managing the organization, ensuring organizational development and forming the elements of organizational culture is the good and effective internal communication. In the dissertation, the content of the term internal communication covers only the communication between the employees within the organization. For the first time as a research focus the interlibrary communication processes were put in place and an attempt was made to identify their basic characteristics with the tools of various sciences. Selected, identified and systematized are theoretical statements that are related to the specificity and significance of the internal communication in the Bulgarian regional libraries. An analysis of their internal communication processes has been made and critical areas have been identified regarding their effectiveness. In a scientifically applied plan, a field survey has identified previously unknown data on the state of internal communication in the Bulgarian regional libraries, which can serve to make managerial decisions and processes improvement. Specific optimal features of interlibrary communication processes have been formulated, which contain the potential for autoreflexion in librarian organizations, and the possible effect of overcoming a belated reversal of libraries facing the problems of their internal functioning.
