The differences in the levels of remuneration in Bulgaria have been increasing in recent years. The main reason is the focus on offering good job positions in the capital Sofia and major regional cities, notably Plovdiv. This leads to the accumulation of working-age population in large cities and further contributes to the depopulation of peripheral areas and small settlements. The reasons are both the lack of work and the large pay gap that is emerging between the capital and other cities in the country. The salaries in the capital are much higher than in some provinces. Policies need to be put in place to promote employment in every region, stimulate production and infrastructure so that more businesses and foreign investors can be motivated to start production anywhere in the country. The whole theoretical framework necessary for the preparation of monthly wages, the structure and dynamics of wages, as well as all elements of wages, is considered. An attempt has been made to analyze the regional differences in wages and labor costs in Europe and Bulgaria over the last 10 years. The basic theoretical concepts in the field of transition from education to employment are presented - individual labor supply, human capital, differences and correspondences between the expectations and the realization of young people. The employability of young people with higher education is also examined in detail, including the perspectives of all stakeholders, individuals, employers and the state. The link between the chosen establishment - the completed specialty and the offered real remuneration. Case studies are presented of actually operating organizations with a diverse scope of activities, varying staffing levels and operating in different regions of the country. Real problems are explored in practice, each with its own specificity, and recommendations are suggested for their solution.
