Regionalization is the theoretical basis of geography as an approach and method, while regional development is a problem area that attracts the attention of various specialists - economists, historians, architects, statisticians, demographers. The geographical analysis of the national space reveals the existing objective regionality, while the regional development is a process through which the policies for organization and management of the reality (of the regionality) are substantiated. In this sense, we accept that there is a mutual connection between regionalization and regional development. A rapidly changing reality requires the improvement of the methodological approaches for analysis and assessment of the transformations in global, national, including regional context. The establishment of regionalization (scientifically based) as a main pillar of the regional policy in the country requires rethinking the traditionally used methods, approaches and algorithms for evaluation and analysis, their updating, the introduction of new indicators and indicators characterizing the regional natural and social territorial systems and revealing the process of forming of regions. The dissertation consists of 200 pages, of which two pages of content, three pages of a list of maps, diagrams, graphs and tables illustrating the content, 172 pages of presentation, seven pages of bibliography and 10 pages of appendices.
