The present study is devoted to a relevant topic in the foreign language teaching - the authentic text and the methodical approaches that structure the successful learning process. The dissertation explores the complex application of authentic text in teaching Russian as a foreign language: - from the position of one’s own teaching experience; - as a review of a modern textbook; - as a conclusion from a conducted case study; - as an analysis of a study conducted by Russian language teachers. This way different perspectives are reflected and the possible parties and participants (objects and subjects) interacting with the authentic text are covered. Based on the theoretical experience and the above-mentioned practical activities, we have justified the understanding of the need for the use and the advantages of authentic text in the early stages of modern foreign language learning. The suggestion that we formulated as a hypothesis of this study was verified on the basis of a description and analysis of the exercises conducted in the present study. The theses are that the authentic text is: - a possible source material for the creation of language knowledge and skills; - a necessary tool for forming sociolinguistic competences by working with pragmatic texts; - a necessary tool for creating specific cognitive activities and the formation of knowledge and professional competencies - an indispensable tool for intercultural competence. |
