The dissertation is devoted to development of detectors and algorithms for data analysis for NA62, CERN and PADME, INFN. The first chapter of the dissertation makes an introduction to the topic Ionizing radiation detection. Some of the basic characteristics of the ionizing radiation detectors are addressed. Special attention paid to organic and inorganic scintillation media, physics phenomenon of scintillation formation and the techniques for registration of weak light impulses, that are suitable for scintillation detecton. The second chapter offers an overview of the subsystems and the data acquisition system of the NA62 experiment. A calibration method for the SAC and IRC detectors, based on data from two-level discrimitators. The third chapter overviews the PADME experiment and gives motivation for every subsystem of the experimental complex. The fourth chapter presents an custom developed LED generator producing short light pulses with variable intensity, meant to mimic plastic scintillations. The fifth and sixth chapters deal with the studies of several prototypes of the PADME electron/positron veto system. Two major concepts are considered – hybrid detector based on plastic scintillation fibres, read-out by CCD matrix and detector based on plastic scintillating bars, read-out by PMT or SiPM.
